Congrats on booking your session! Next step: Choose a LOcation

The first thing I'll say about location is that if there's a location that is special or has some kind of meaning to you, please let me know! I LOVE doing sessions at your homes, property, family land, etc. If it has meaning to you, your photos will be that much more special. But if you don't anywhere like that, you don't have to worry one bit. I've got you covered! When trying to decide on a location, it's important to consider a few things:

  • How many people (and what ages) will be attending the session? (Example: If this is a multi-generation family session, I recommend somewhere that is easy to get in and out, and probably minimal walking)
  • What do you like? (Do you like open fields, water, wooded areas, downtown, studio vibes?)
  • What do you want to wear? (Does your outfit go with the location? You may need to bring a change of shoes to walk around in)
  • What time of year is it? (Seasons in Texas are crazy, but different spots look different at different times of year, or it could be 110 degrees outside)

I can help out with recommendations and insight about different spots, but I've compiled a list of some of my favorite spots around East Texas (and a few beyond ETX) for you here. Click the images to view a gallery from each. This is obviously not everywhere I've ever shot in the area and I'm always open to suggestions or new places if you don't find what you're looking for. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me anytime.
